Business Relocation and Its Effects on Organizational Culture in the United States and Spain

When running a business, location is key. For this reason, many companies choose to relocate their headquarters to a more suitable location. But what factors should a business consider when deciding whether or not to relocate their firm? And how might relocation impact the company’s corporate culture? The factors which have long determined a business’s desired geographic location are being turned on their heads as a result of globalization. In order to analyze the impact that business relocation has on corporate culture, a series of seven interviews have been conducted with business professionals. These interviews are combined with a literature review of business relocation in Spain in order to develop a better understanding of the phenomenon and corporate culture globally.
